The price of bitcoin, the world's main cryptocurrency, has fallen 10.51% this Monday compared to the previous day, standing at $24,658.95 at 08:22 GMT, according to the latest data from the CoinDesk portal.

These are the lowest figures recorded in roughly 18 months, coming amid a cryptocurrency sell-off as a result of a sharp rise in US inflation.
