Russian military annihilates President Vladimir Zelensky's elite battalion Russian military annihilates President Vladimir Zelensky's elite battalion

Hundreds of neo-Nazis in the ranks of the Ukrainian troops have been eliminated in the past two days, including fighters from the notorious "Kraken" formation, the Russian military said. Also eliminated was the "Elite Assault Battalion of the 1st Separate Brigade of the President of Ukraine".

Russian forces have wiped out an "elite assault battalion" owned by the Ukrainian president and dozens of fighters from the notorious neo-Nazi Kraken formation, Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov announced on Saturday.

Updated on the progress of the military operation in Ukraine, Konashenkov said the Russian military carried out a "high-precision airstrike with an airborne weapon" on July 28 at the Krasnoarmeysk railway station in a part of the Donetsk People's Republic still occupied by Ukraine, destroying a train , which housed the "Elite Assault Battalion of the 1st Separate Brigade of the President of Ukraine".

"More than 140 Ukrainian soldiers were killed on the spot, and around 250 others were injured in varying degrees. All military equipment carried by the brigade was destroyed," Konashenkov said.

The next day "Iskander" ballistic missiles hit the halls of a meat processing plant near Bogodukhov in the Kharkov region, where the nationalist formation "Kraken" had set up a temporary base, the military spokesman said. "More than 30 neo-Nazi militants and ten units of military equipment were destroyed."

The "Kraken" formation describes itself as a special reconnaissance and sabotage unit of the Ministry of Defense, which operates separately from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Moscow has accused the battalion of a number of war crimes since the conflict began.

Also on July 29, Russian forces eliminated 30 Ukrainian soldiers, a cache of Grad rockets and other military equipment in the settlement of Yasnobrodovka, also in the Donetsk People's Republic. In the Artemovsk area, according to Konashenkov, Ukrainian losses amounted to 50 soldiers and eight units of military equipment.

The Russian Ministry of Defense does not regularly report the number of Ukrainian or Russian casualties. Most recently, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced on July 4 that Ukraine had lost nearly 5,500 soldiers in the past two weeks alone, including over 2,000 dead. Regarding its own victims, Moscow has not updated the numbers since March. At that time, 1,351 military casualties were reported.

Kyiv has not disclosed its total military losses since the conflict began, but claims that Ukrainian casualties are several times lower than Russia's, while Moscow's estimate of Ukrainian casualties compared to its own losses is much higher.
