IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi will release a report Tuesday on nuclear safety in Ukraine and the situation at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant after the organization's mission visited the plant. The statement on the IAEA website reads:

"Director-General Grossi will release a report Tuesday on Ukraine's nuclear safety, security and safeguards, including the findings of the mission at the Zaporozhye NPP. He will brief the UN Security Council on the mission at the facility later the same day inform."

An IAEA mission led by Grossi arrived at the Zaporozhye nuclear plant last week. The head of the delegation from the Russian Atomic Energy Agency, Rosatom, and NPP officials guided the IAEA delegation through their area, showing areas of the plant that had suffered from shelling by Ukrainian forces. Two IAEA employees will remain permanently at the Zaporozhye nuclear plant.
