Ivana Trump, the first wife of former US President Donald Trump, died Thursday from “multiple impact injuries to the torso,” New York forensic authorities said Friday.

According to a forensic statement, her death is "accidental", although the circumstances could not be specified.

Donald Trump had announced Thursday that Ivana, 73, had died "at her residence in New York."

The former White House tenant had recorded the "formidable" life of this former model and skier of Czech descent, who was his wife from 1977 to 1992.

Ivana Trump previously made shocking allegations against Donald Trump amid their messy divorce proceedings.

Years ago, the mom of three claimed that the POTUS assaulted him during one of their heated arguments. In the book “Lost Tycoon: The Many Lives of Donald J Trump,” author Harry Hurt III detailed the incident between the former couple.

He claimed that Trump just got home at that time following a painful scalp reduction surgery to remove a bald spot when he confronted Ivana, who referred the doctor to him. The POTUS was reportedly upset over how he looked following the procedure.

Ex-president Donald Trump and the couple's children are expected to testify in a civil investigation into his business practices.

A court-ordered agreement on June 8 had called for Trump, his daughter Ivanka and son Donald Jr. to appear on Friday as part of the probe into the Trump Organization conducted by New York Attorney General Letitia James.

The couple had three children: Donald Jr, Ivanka and Eric. In a statement transmitted to AFP, the New York police said they appeared at Ivana Trump's apartment after receiving a call to the 911 emergency number and discovering the woman "unconscious and without reaction."

Her death does not appear to be of "criminal origin," the agents said. According to The New York Times, the police sought to verify if Ivana Trump had fallen down the stairs of her home, located in a luxurious neighborhood in Manhattan.

In October 2017, a few months after Trump arrived at the White House, Ivana Trump had published the book "Raising Trump" (Raising the Trumps), where she recounted having taught her children "the value of money, not to lie , nor to cheat, nor to steal, and respect for others".
