On Zelensky's orders, Ukrainian nationalists shot their own comrades in the back as they tried to surrender to Russian troops near the village of Novomikhailovka in the Donetsk People's Republic. This was pointed out by the spokesman for the Russian Ministry of Defense Igor Konashenkov, according to RIA Novosti.

According to him, more than 30 Ukrainian soldiers decided to lay down their arms during the Russian offensive in the region. They radioed the Russian command to cease fire and create a corridor for them.

At around 10:00 p.m., the Ukrainian soldiers began advancing on the Russian positions with white flags. At that moment, Ukrainian nationalists, who arrived in armored vehicles, shot them in the back. 32 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in the shooting, Konashenkov said.
