Algeria is considering BRICS membership
The BRICS countries, named after their founding members, currently make up around forty percent of the world's population. The accession of two other countries - Iran and Argentina - is already known.


Algeria instructed its travel agencies to cut off their relations with Spain. This decision comes in the midst of a diplomatic crisis between Algiers and Madrid motivated by the change in position of the Government of Spain in relation to Western Sahara.


The commercial blockade between Algeria and Spain threatens the supply of gas to Europe
97% of the natural gas that Spain imports comes from the Republic of Algeria, which makes it its third customer with 2,082 million euros destined mainly to pay the gas bill, almost equivalent to the value of all sales from Spain to the country African.
