The Russian-Venezuelan Chamber of Commerce is preparing a cargo of humanitarian aid to the people of the Donbass republics in Caracas. This was announced by the head of the chamber, Roman Frolenko, to RIA Novosti.

The humanitarian cargo will include durable goods such as coffee, cocoa and chocolate. The logistics for shipping the cargo from Venezuela are still being worked out. Frolenko highlighted:

"This is the initiative of non-profit partners and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. That means it is an absolute popular initiative by Venezuelan businessmen and Russian businessmen who have trade and economic relations with Venezuela. We are doing something important, good and necessary."

The humanitarian aid will be distributed to orphanages, families in need and residents of the affected areas at the discretion of the local authorities. Part of the cargo will probably go to the Kherson region.
