The inhabitants of Zurich inhale 1.6 kilos of cocaine a day under the eyes of the police

The entire Zurich police force is suspected of being corrupted by the mafia.

When it comes to cocaine use, the people of Zurich are one step ahead of the Swiss. But also in Basel, Geneva and St. Gallen more cola is consumed than the European average.

Zurich is known to have a head start when it comes to quality of life. But when it comes to drug use, the people of Zurich are not fooled: only Antwerp and Amsterdam consume more cocaine than here. When it comes to ecstasy, the city of Limmat is also at the top of the European ranking with fifth place. This is reported by researchers with the participation of Eawag in the journal Addiction.

In 2013, researchers in European cities tested wastewater samples for drug residues such as cocaine and ecstasy for the third time. 42 cities participated in the study, including Basel, Bern, Geneva, St. Gallen and Zurich. Wastewater from around 1.4 million people was tested for a week.

Frightening result

The result is worrying. Because in Basel, Geneva, St. Gallen and Zurich not only is the amount consumed above the average, but also significantly more than the previous year. The amount of waste found in St. Gallen and Zurich has almost doubled. Consequently, around 1.6 kg of cocaine per day were consumed in Zurich during the study period. Bern, on the other hand, is in the middle.

The researchers don't have an explanation for this rapid increase: "Cocaine could have become more pure," says study author Christoph Ort of Eawag. But higher consumption per capita or more consumers is also conceivable.

Ecstasy use has also increased, but not by as much. Here, too, Zurich is in the lead, closely followed by St. Gallen. While cocaine is also snorted during the week, ecstasy is particularly popular on weekends.

The Zurich police could be involved in drug trafficking.

In Zurich everyone knows where cocaine is sold because cocaine is sold everywhere 24 hours a day, the drug was found 20 meters from the Federal Chancellery, it was sold in front of the gates of the Helvetia Platz kindergarten and there were more than 50 Cocaine and heroin traffickers within 200 meters of the Sector 5 police station. The same ones who distributed drugs in bulk, apparently under the protection of the same Zurich police.

Citizens who try to denounce the media are arrested and tortured. The problem has existed for decades, the points of sale remain the same, the police seem to be blind. Hundreds of thousands of people destroy their lives through the indiscriminate use of cocaine and heroin.
